Switzerland: Anyone been to Soglio?

My husband and I will be going to Switzerland in October and we read about a village called Soglio in southern Switzerland. Karen Brown says it is one of her favorite places in Switzerland. Has anyone been there. We have only found mention of it in her book and in a Lonely Planet Guide? If you have any other Swiss tips, we'd appreciate them!

Good morning, Anna
Have not been to Soglio, it appears to be off the regular tourist routes, however it is in a great area, which can very well make it a worthwhile stop.
I would suggest not overlook the Berner
Oberland, as there is much to do and can be done, Wengen, Murren, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, the lakes of Brienz and Thun and the villages surrounding them
are very nice places...
here are a few web sites to surf for information....
http://www.berneroverland.ch/-----ww...zferien.ch/---
www.discover.ch/
heiwww.unige.ch/ (17 Cantons)(Soglio is in the Grisons)
www.grindelwald.ch/
www.wengen.ch/
www.jungfrau.ch/
www.tourismus.ch/
Good surfing, Richard of Hickory Hills,Il
Yes, please do visit Soglio. It is a wonderful little village with a fantastic view. But only do go there if the weather is nice. Otherwise you will lose to much time by getting there, although the whole Val Bregaglia or Bergell (Tal) is rather nice too.
email me if you have further questions (I'm a student and live near Basel.)

Soglio is a very nice little village above the Bregaglia valley in the south-west of St. Moritz. You've a great view there. By postbus it takes 1.5 hours to reach it (from St. Moritz). In autumn it's wonderful because there's sun all the day.
My tip ist to visit Soglio by taking the bus from St. Moritz in the morning. Later you go down from Soglio to Promontogno (10 minutes by bus) and take the "Palm-Express" bus to the Tessin, to Lugano.
If you have any questions about travelling in Switzerland, send me a mail. It will be a pleasure for me to answer!
