Swiss Pass w/Wrong Dates
Hello
We just received our 8 consecutive day Swiss Pass and noticed that the begin date on the pass is one day early and the end date is one day too soon. For example the dates on the pass are 6/19-6/26 but it should be 6/20-6/27. Does anyone know if that once in Switzerland they would allow us to alter the dates? I'm not sure the RailEurope allows a correction or not. This error may end up costing us signficantly based on our itinerary. Help....

I'm confused. I've bought the 15 Swiss Pass several times, and not once did the pass specify a start date. It was merely good for six months from the date of purchase, so we had it validated before our first train ride and the clock began ticking then. Has this changed?

The following was taken from the Rail Europe site:
On what date is my rail pass considered validated/activated?
With most passes, the pass starts the day you get it validated by a rail official.
How far in advance can I buy my rail pass?
A pass can be purchased up to 6 months before your first travel day (and must be validated within 6 months of the original date of issue).
How do I validate/activate my pass?
Just go to the ticket window at the rail station before boarding your first train. A railroad official will enter the first and last day of the validity on your pass and stamp your pass. You will have to show your passport.
I suggest you call Rail Europe and see what the heck is going on.

I've got an email in to the Rail Europe folks to see what is going on. I've had many rail passes in the past and the best I can recall, never had ones that had arrived with a preprinted beginning and an ending date as well.
