Thanks for these suggestions, will look into it. We will be spending the night at Grindelwald, then planning to go to Jungfrau the next morning. Then in the evening, we were planning to go straight to Lucerne. But various friends have said to beware, that my parents may suffer from altitude sickness in Jungfrau. If that is likely to happen, are we better off spending an additional night in Grindelwald, and then proceed to Lucerne in the morning?

Not sure it is likely to happen - altitude about 11,000 feet - doe sit happen more to older folk than younger?
Relatively few folks suffer any significant feelings at that altitude - including myself on several trips.
In any case be sure to take the Golden Pass route if not the official GP train from Interlaken-Ost to Lucerne - just about as quick as the main line routing via Bern but a lot more scenic as it goes up and over (the low altitude) Brunig Pass after first lovingly tracking along the shores of tranquil Lake Brienz.
Maybe consult your parents' physician about possible altitude sickness with older folks - if that is a factor and I think it is unlikely, having seen many older folks up there on previous trips doing just fine.
If traveling same day are you leaving your bags in Grindelwald - lockers in station would make it quicker than going back to a hotel that during mid-day may not always have the reception area open.

Actually, I prefer to travel the same day to Lucerne since I had already made Golden Pass reservations for that evening and did not want to cancel them.
My parents have traveled to the Himalayas (Ladakh) 4 years ago, and did not suffer from altitude sickness since they went up by bus, and the climb was gradual. So then hopefully the altitude at Jungfrau won't bother them either.
I was wondering what to do with the bags after we check out of the hotel in Grindelwald. Where exactly are these lockers located?
