swiss dress code for june

hi everybody,
we r going to switzerland for a week starting june 2'nd, I need some advise on what clothes to carry ,wat kind of weather shud we expect? we will be going to interlaken,lucerne and montreux.

Well, it's summer so it could be quite warm especially at lower levels (like Montreux on the lake). But could be cool and breezy in the mountains. I would pack clothes you can wear in 'layers' and good walking shoes.

Why not find it out yourself using the current forecast?

Several weather sites offer extended international weather forecast. Here is a sample:

Last year we had unusually warm weather beg. of June. This year it could be the exact opposite. Greg is right: check out the forecast before you go and pack accordingly. Remember, our weather forecasts are about 60-70% right.

Also, if you're planning to take a trip to the mountains in Lucern or Interlaken, make sure you have winter clothings and proper shoes. You won't have to wear a big down jacket but bring something more than a tee-shirt.

I've been up on Pilatus in summer time and found sections with snow. The same for Grundewald (sp??)when I went into a lower level glacier. Tennis shoes won't cut it when it gets this cold.
