"Have you considered visiting Einselden, near Lucerne and Zurich and one of Europe's top religious meccas:"
No, but this site looks interesting, may worth the detour on our way to ZRH from Lucerne the day before departure, to fill the half day. The train station has lockers from from 7:45 - 17:00. Thanks for the suggestions.

It's called EINSIEDELN, BTW.
Take any Voralpen Express train from Lucerne up to Biberbrugg and change there to a local train.
Somewhat similar baroque churches are at St. Gallen and Salzburg or - a bit smaller - at St. Urban, close to Langenthal.

@scrb11 any suggestions what else could half day be spend on as for Alp activity around Lucern or between Lucern and Zürich? Totally 2 days In Lucern, first day on Mt Rigi, and boat trip on Fluelen. Second day kind of free( need to get to Zürich in the evening) will spend a couple of hours walking the old town if not done yet, would skip the museum

You may want to see which day has better weather before committing to the excursion. You can google for webcams on Mt. Rigi to see what kind of visibility you'll encounter.
If there are low clouds blocking the views of the water and towns below, not worth going up.

From Lucern to Einsiedeln, changing train at Biberbrugg, the allowed time is 2 min. Can we possibly miss the connecting train with 2 min changing time?

From us weather forecast, during our 15 day itinerary in June, there will be 11 days with rains, the rest 4 days with clouds, these forecast may not be 100% accurate, but can predict mostly (used them in the past). It seems to be a rainny month. Even doubt we should make the trip

Jane, here was my weather forecast. I arrived Chamonix early Saturday morning and the hiking portion of my trip started on Monday.
I had a fantastic time, you've seen a few of my pictures. Enjoy, and let us know how it goes.

When I went to Switzerland last year, TA Destination Advisors recommended a couple of Swiss weather apps, MeteoSwiss and meteoblue.
I also used webcams. For instance, I stayed in Wengen and looked at webcams of Schilthorn. It would take me about an hour to get there and you could see from the webcam if the skies were going to be clouded over.

Platform #s are neat to have but beware they can and do change sometimes so always look on the side of the train for a sign saying where it is going. And some trains split to after leaving the station - like ones to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen after being hooked together at Interlaken-Ost - splitting half-way up with one part going up the Grindelwald Valley and the other trundling up to Lauterbrunnen. There should also be a sign inside the train car entrance as to where it is going and overhead electric signs.

After 677 posts you "doubt you should make this trip" because of a forecast of rain? This is incredible. I tune in everyday to see the "new" magic number of questions/responses.
I cannot believe you wrote that statement Jane. After all the assistance that a few "Jane loyal posters" have given you, to not make the trip at this point would be heartless on your part. Please tell us you are going!

Even if it rains, it may not be same in all places.
For instance, the time I took the cruise to Brienz, it was in brilliant sunlight and relatively blue skies while by the time I took the train back (after only about 10 minutes in Brienz), it was mostly clouded over and Wengen and Lauterbrunnen was even more clouded over.
Also I went to Beatenberg by ferry from Interlaken and then up the cable car on a wholly overcast day but it still looked great on the lake and from up there.
Would have been a lot better if sunny but I was there so I'd rather have gone in less than optimal conditions than not gone at all. During the 4 or 5-night stay in Wengen, I got enough sun to make it worthwhile. I would have of course liked to see sun all 4-5 days but that's the nature of the Alps, you're not going to have clear, sunny skies without a lot of cloud cover coming every few days or even some rain.
