Hi to the go's! Rereading this because I think we may go to Portugal in the Spring. So would you recommend the Bairro Alto area of Lisbon or think we might be better to look elsewhere due to noise? Do you think the location offsets any potential for noise? As you might guess I hate noisy places as I tend to be a very light sleeper. Thanks!

Hi yestravel! Hope you're doing well. I just started reading your Turkey report...looking forward to that!
I loved our apartment in Lisbon, but it definitely wasn't the quietest spot I've ever stayed in (at night; daytime was a different story--very quiet!). There are a lot of bars and restaurants in the part of the Bairro Alto in which we stayed. Other streets on the fringe of that area might not be so noisy, but I'm not really sure.
