What an amazing trip report! I am very impressed that you came back to finish it after two years. What inspired you to do that?

I have to tell you that you have earned extra points with me (and I suspect with other Fodorites in my demographic) by saying two things: that the best pickup line you ever heard was the question about your mother's beauty, and that you would like to come to Paris with your mother before you are old.

Nikki-thank you for your kind words. I always felt guilty about not finishing this report. I still haven't written trip reports for my travels to Italy, Mexico, Australia, New York City and Germany/Austria. Look for those soon (I hope).

I recently accepted a higher paying, less demanding job and now that I have time, I feel I owe fodors readers some trip report contributions for all the help they've given me.
