Suggestions to Fodor Board Masters

Would it be possible to make links posted by participants accessible to other readers? On other websites the reader is able to click on a www.xxxx.com link and go to that website. Thanks.

Try copy and paste. Takes only a couple clicks. That's one more than clicking on a lin.

The "hot links" idea was tried a few months ago, along with some other very good ideas. The improvements were too much for the hardware, and the whole attempt brought the Forum to its technological knees. The old system had to be reinstated. There have been a few minor improvements since then, but many of the more technologically advanced ideas had to be put on the backburner for the time being. There was never any technical explanation given; the new look suddenly was replaced with the old one. It may come in time, but for right now you will need to clip and paste. I have gotten fairly proficient at mouse wielding and find it to be quite effective.
The embryonic new website www.travel-board.com has "hot links", and the capability for a picture to be part of a post also (though I haven't actually seen this in use, yet).

Right now, it does not hold a candle to this site. sheer numbers are everything when it comes to providing an answer to as many questions as possible, on a forum like this one.

But it will be interesting to see if travel-board can succeed by being more feature rich.

For a while at least, I expectt to be there pretty regularly, without leaving here.

Best wishes,

Rex
Rex, how do you bookmark certain specific posts? when I cut and paste the link above, it's generic and just takes me to the main fodors forum page...

To bookmark a specific post, right click on the title in the frame to the left and save as favorite (in IE anyway).
