Suggestions for short Amsterdam visit
We will be arriving in Amsterdam on a Monday morning (around 9:45) from an overseas flight from the U.S. (probably will be jet lagged) and would appreciate suggestions on the "must sees" before we leave early Wednesday morning.

First day do the Canal Cruise. It requires little energy and you'll get fresh air. Walk around outside if the weather is decent. Have a nice dinner. I like the Argentinean Beef Restaurants (El Rancho on Spui) or Indonesian Rice Table (Sarang Mas on Damrack).

Tuesday go to the Rijksmuseum, Ann Frank House and shop around the Liedspleine and Floating Flower Market.
Personally, I don't get the big deal about NightWatch. It kind of reminds me of the Mona Lisa and Last Supper which both seemed underwhelming and disappointing to me. But the Rijksmusuem has other wonderful stuff and the building alone is fabulous.

Tuesday

We were jet lagged too when we arrived (at night) but hopped right on a canal cruise. It's a good and relaxing way to be introduced to the city. Try to fit in the night cruise if you can. We also enjoyed the Van Gogh Museum and just walking along the canals.
