Cristine, I appreciate your helpful comments. What I'm trying to do is to have a list of possible dining options while in Paris. I have many places on my own list of where I would like to eat but that list wouldn't necessarily work for them.

Since we don't have deep, deep pockets full of money I still would like to eat at places they are likely to enjoy. I know dining out with my grandsons is only a small part of this vacation but some research is needed so I'm going to do the best research I can Thanks again, Deborah

As simple as it sounds, our teenagers enjoyed eating at the McDonalds on the Champs E not far from the Arc de Triomphe. We ordered using the touchscreen computers (those aren't available in our small town) and good old American fries were a treat after several days of touring and unfamiliar foods.

I won't poo poo eating at Mickey D's--we did in Moscow-- but while YOU may call those fries "good old American fries"--they weren't!! They were the real deal!! LOL

So a couple of other thoughts:

Angelina for hot chocolate of course (even though I don't like it-it is too rich for me)

Or the place I prefer in the 6th Un Dimanche a Paris

Oh and last but not least you have got to go to this patisserie kind "targeted" at kids called chezbogato. It is in the 14th so not far from where you will be staying:

They even have workshops if your grand kids enjoy that

there stuff is so whimisical-really different and interesting

Have they seen the movie Hugo? If so, they might enjoy lunch at the cafe Campana in Musee d'Orsay.
