Suggested mode of travel for CDG-58 Rue Jacob

Our Delta flight arrives this Thursday at 7:30a. I am guessing we will be ready to leave CDG by 8:30 am. We will be 4 in total. We are ok with using RER and metro if that is best option, although we might be a little rusty as it has been several years. Specific stop to get off of the RER and instructions on purchasing RER ticket would be appreciated. I would prefer to walk from the RER station to our hotel than transfer to metro if the walk is reasonable. We are very fit and a several mile walk will be fine. We will have one carryon each.

Our friends Delta flight arrives an hour earlier. Can you suggest a good meet up spot please.

Take a taxi. Fixed fare now, which will be comparable to RER fare for 4. Can't suggest a meet-up spot without knowing what terminals the folks are arriving at.

PS, you would never have to walk "several miles" to get to a hotel from an RER stop.

Ditto what St. Cirq says. 55 Euro translates to 13.75E per person. I think the RER is 10.30 euro now. 3.45 euro more for door to door, no luggage schlepping.

Double ditto!!!. R Jacob is a long way from a RER stop. We always take the taxi to & from our apt/hotel in Paris. It's above ground, so you can admire Paris from the taxi. Harder from a train.

Is the fixed taxi fare applicable TO the airport from Paris hotels? Or only FROM the airport? There will only be two of us so train would be cheaper but good to have options.

Thanks, Kay

To or From. But if, by chance, you call, say, G7 for a pickup, you'll pay a few euros for that.

We paid 55E plus 5E tip for 4 people plus 4 bags CDG-Saint Germain. The taxi meter said almost 60E but thanks to Fodorites I knew about the fixed price. In the future we will confirm w/ taxi driver the fare before getting in. The woman at the info desk at cdg said city center should be 50E.

Thanks all for the info!!!
