Stuttgart Hotels

I will be in Stuttgart in Dec. What 2 or 3-star hotels are near the main train station? How far is the main train station from the Christmas markets?

Thanks!

The Christmas market is ten minutes walk from the station. I am not familar with hotels in Stuttgart, but you can find them on www.stuttgart-tourist.de. I would rather stay in the neighboring towns, like Untertürkheim, Esslingen or Ludwigsburg.

Hotels opposite the main station (Hauptbahnhof) in Stuttgart:
Hotel am Schlossgarten (would be my own choice - ask for a room with a view over the park).
Hotel Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin (possibly more expensive).
Hotel Rieker (probably in the budget category).
Hotel Intercontinental (probably the most expensive of all and a short walk away)
I just did a Google search by typing in the name of the hotel and Stuttgart. I see there are special offers on all four.
They are all only a stone's throw from the Christmas market.

hi there,
all those hotels Meg showed You are very expensive. Only Rieker is a little cheaper but not worth the price. Try Hotel IBIS, it is a new one about 5 min from main station.

have fun
Gar

I will be in Stuttgard for several days in early July and will be coming and going a lot by train. I just booked the Intercontinental on their internet site for 138 Euro for a double. That was actually less than the rate I was being quoted for some of the others which don't appear to be as nice. The Graf Zeppelin was more than double that!
