hello monicapileggi - if you're still looking at apartments in Paris I can add a little insight and give you my opinion only, for what it's worth:

in october I rented this apartment thru
www.vrbo.com/34170 in the Marais area, the apartment was very small but very nice, comfortable and the price would work for you. you may want to take a look at it. The area seemed safe enough to me, had no problem at all.

earlier this year, March, I rented the Eiffel Tower view apartment thru www.vacationinparis.com - I personally would not recommend it, thought the area was a little less appealing, especially being a solo traveler, the building was dark and a bit creepy and the apartment, and this in only my opinion, was filthy - however, in defense of vacationinparis, I called them as soon as I arrived in the apartment, left a message as it was before their open hours and they called me back as soon as they arrived in the office and were very accommodating, having an apartment manager in Paris call me right away and we were able to set up my week in an apartment much more to my liking, so all's well that ends well. I had also used vacationinparis the previous year, stayed in yet another one of their listings and was very pleased.

Have a wonderful trip. Susan

Thanks Susan, but I paid my deposit last night for my stay at the studio on rue Vieille de Temple from rentparis.com. The one you suggested looked very nice, but a little out of my pricerange. I wanted to keep it close to $100/night. I recieved a prompt response from the owner so sofar so good!

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions!

Tamara, send me those photos. Thanks for the description of the keys and getting inside the building. I know I'll feel very safe and comfortable there. By the way, how did you pick your name: lucygirl? I ask because I have a daschund/lab mix and her name is Lucy and I call her lucygirl a lot! LOL!

Monica,

I'm going to grab the photos from my albums this weekend and I'll send them to you on Monday. (My scanner's at work).

That's funny about your lucygirl comment. That's exactly how I picked my screen name. My cat's name is Lucy and we call her lucygirl all the time!
LOL.

Loved your website by the way. Nice photos.

Thanks Tamara. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

Did you see Lucy's page? People get a kick out of it but hey, she's my lucygirl!
