Stu Dudley -Help please

Stu, Didn't I read on a post that you had a wonderful, secret place to stay that couldn't be shared because you were going to try to stay there? We are going September 15-September 22, 2007 and I am wondering if that is not your time could you possibly email me the name of the place. My DH is having second thoughts on Menerbes. My email address is [email protected]. If it is not possible would you please reply on this site? Then I will continue to look elsewhere. Thanks, Sharon

You can e mail Stu directly--his address is searchable on this forum. However I wouldn't expect him to reveal the locations of any of his gites.

I've been quite busy lately - sorry I didn't see this sooner. As RonZ said, I don't reveal my favorite Gites - it's getting harder & harder to reserve them every year as more Americans find out how wonderful & inexpensive it is to stay in Gites. We just sent a letter to one of our favorites, trying to reserve for June of '08.

Nothing wrong with Menerbes - why is your DH having second thoughts??

Stu, Thanks for the reply. Here is our minor problem. There are only two of us and the two houses at the top of Menerbes are rented through September. Our FF have us spending the week in Provence from Sept.12-Sept.22. I can't find any more houses in Menerbes and someone mentioned the roads were tiny at the top. They parked down and walked up. That is no longer a concern. I have tried to check out gites/B&B's on Fodors. I have a email into La Clos du Buis in Bonneiux. I was hoping to find something in or near Roussillon or Menerbes. I have scrolled Fodor's and googled since Monday night. We didn't want a Hotel as I tend to wander, therefore, we were thinking about a house. As I previously posted, this will be a one time trip for me and I just want to have a nice place. If you can advise me where to look I will be happy to, I am just stuck! Thanks anyway, Sharon p.s. I also paragraphed this post and in preview it isn't. Sorry

I've seen many posts here about Gites in the Luberon. I think Gordes, Goult, Bonnieux, Menerbes, & Roussillon would all be comparible areas to stay in. St Saturnin les Apt is also quite nice, but a little further out.
We rent all our Gites from Gites de France
