Stops Between Epernay and Paris
Hello,
We will be driving from Epernay to Paris on a Sunday in November and am looking for one or two stops to make that would be interesting towns or attractions. Can anyone help with some suggestions? Thanks!

It's less than a two hour drive if you use the autoroute, which is not particularly fascinating. You might want to ask www.viamichelin.com to plot you a route with no tolls, and then you will pass through a few charming villages for sure, albeit probably nothing worth more than 30 minutes of your time.

Between Epernay and Dormans is Chatillon sur Marne...cool town up the hill surrounded by vignyards. Homeland of a Pope . Wonderful park with orientation table that overlooks the valley, colomne with a stataue of the Pope and some history. Don't know about in November, especially if its a blustery day, though.
Very small town with one of the best value/quality restaurants in that area: La Porte Oubliée- 6 place Urbain Tel: 03 26 58 37 58- small, intimate with wonderful food. "cuisine traditionnelle" closed tues pm and all day Wednes. On a sunday, I'd be sure to have a reservation.
