We just had a five hour lay over at Barajas at the end of our Spain trip and we considered stopping back into Madrid as well. But, saner minds prevailed and we stayed at Barajas. As other posters have indicated, the airport is huge and even though our luggage was checked through we had to change terminals for our second flight. I think it is wiser to stay put. We managed to get in a little more shopping at the duty free shops and picked up some newer magazines for the plane ride home. Susan
