Stockholm - which travel card is best for me?
Hi!
Traveling with my DH and 2 children (both 6 & under) and see a variety of travel cards available for Stockholm. Seems some are for transportation, museum entrance or both. We will be there for 4 days and using public transport to get around the city. We are planning to do City Hall, Skansen, Vasa, Cathedral & Royal Palace & heading out into the Archipelago. I did not book hotel through destination-stockholm.com so the card that comes with that is not an option unless I can purchase it elsewhere? Looking for advice on what the options are and what comes with which card or where can I find this information.
Thanks!

My understanding is that the attractions passes and the transit cards are separate in Stockholm.
You'll have to do the math yourself to see how much your activities cost compare to the various passes. I am also heading to Stockholm soon and the passes are not worth it for us. Generally these kind of passes dictate that you need to see a lot of museums/attractions in one day for them to pay off. Note also that the Stockholm Pass only pays for boat travel to some select archipelago islands, and I may be wrong but I don't think it pays for the guided tour in City Hall either (necessary in order to enter the City Hall).
As for the transportation card, again, you can estimate how many trips you'll make a day. Here, I think since you are there for 4 days, you can buy an SL access card and load it up with money (or load it with 7-day value) since the short term cards are only available in 24, 48, or 72 hr). Either way, it is best to have either form of prepaid card rather than buying individual tickets each time because buses do not accept payment aboard.
