Staying / Dining in Lisbon
I will be spending a couple days (Sunday through Tuesday) in Lisbon in mid-July. I'm just beginning to research the city and was hoping to get recommendations for places to stay and places to eat. As far as the lodging goes, we do not need fancy amenities, but would like a clean, reputable place with good reviews. Since I am just starting on the research I do not have a preference for which neighborhood, but some place that is walkable to sites, parks, and/or markets would be nice.
For dining recommendations, we are looking for casual, fun places that have great local dishes. We are spur-of-the-moment travelers so making reservations and dealing with long waits is something we'd like to avoid. Any recommendations for great places to explore would be much appreciated. Thanks!

We just returned from Lisbon. You can click on my name to read my trip report.
For dining, we loved Cervejaria Ramiro for fresh seafood. Also Monte Mar in the Time Out Market. And Bonjardim for roast chicken.
For sightseeing, what do you like? One of our favorite days was the day we went to the Castle Sao Jorge in the morning, and then spent the rest of the day wandering around the Alfama. We loved the Gulbenkian Art Museum and the Jeronimos Monastery. Stop at the miradouros (viewpoints) to get beautiful views of Lisbon.
