best days/times to visit sights in Lisbon, Belem, Sintra
Greetings!
I think I saw in some threads recommendations as to which days would be best to visit some of the sites in the Lisbon area, but now I cannot seem to find them. I think it was advisable to avoid Sintra on a Monday as many sites in Lisbon are closed that day so more people tend to visit Sintra, if I am not mistaken.
Our four full days in September (4 days / 5 nights) in the Lisbon area fall on Sunday - Wednesday. I would love to make sure to avoid locations at the busiest times if possible.
Would this be the best way to split the days? OR should I change something in order to avoid crowds (whenver possible)
Sunday: Full day in the Belem area: Jeronimous Monastery, Coach Museum, Discovery monument, Belem Tower (outside only), dinner with Fado in Lisbon
Monday: half day Lisbon: San Jorge Castelo, Alfama district + free time for souvenier shopping etc
Tuesday: Cabo da Roca, Quinta da Regaleira, Lunch, Pena Palace, dinner at Cervejaria Ramiro
Wednesday: Full day in Lisbon: Santa Justa Miradouro, Carmo Convent, Bario Baixa, Lunch at Mercado de Ribeira, Museum Gulbenkian, farewell dinner
The program is still work in progress, but does it make sense?
Thank you!
