Stay in Juan-les-Pins or Cannes?

You'll really enjoy having a car for the south of France. We loved Cannes. Our "splurge" day was spending the entire day on the hotel's private beach (then Hilton, now JWMarriott), enjoying drinks, lunch, etc. at the beach. The rates for the beach at your hotel doesn't seem too bad -

Be sure to go to the famous market -

We went twice, both for a regular market day as well as the brocante day.

This thread has me reconsidering my plans. I will have a car for the Luberon and Alpilles, but then I was thinking of returning it and taking the train from Avignon to Antibes. I will have to think it over some more.
