We're going to want to hear all about your Venice trip. How long do you get to stay ?

Hi SAnParis. I am sure I will do a lengthy trip report when I return.

We have an apartment in the Cannregio area this time (we stayed in San Polo last time) and will be there for a week. We are still up in the air regarding day trips since we are basically winging it this time. It's strange to go this route since I'm an avid planner. However, since we've been before and have seen all the "must sees" we are looking forward to just soaking up the atmosphere, seeing some things we missed last time, and enjoying some R&R without being rushed. We'll just take it day by day.

Now, if we could just get rid of the constant rain they are predicting for the whole week. Thank goodness with living in the tropics we don't mind rain (it's always a nice change from the never ending sun here) and we're really looking forward to the cool temps!

Thanks for asking!

I would guess you will find this trip even more enjoyable since you won't feel obligated to see all of the sights. Have a gelato (or 3) in St. Marks Square for me. Looking forward to your report. Ciao.

Will do, SAnParis!

Yes, this trip will be a lot more relaxed considering we had our ten year wedding anniversary vow renewal ceremony the last time. Not that it wasn't perfect in every way, but it will be nice not to have to haul the formal wear along or worry about the weather holding out this trip.

Dear Statia:
I am looking forward to your report. I remember you report from your last trip to Italy and enjoyed it very much. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Have a nice trip!

Statia, I was thinking of you this morning and imagined how excited you must be getting.

I know you will really enjoy this trip as not having a list of "we must see" sites is such a nice and relaxing way to enjoy Venice.

I wish you a beautiful time and I too look forward to your trip report once you get home and settled in. Have a glass of prossecco for me!! Cincin.

Thanks Michelle & LoveItaly.

I'm busily getting things organized and packing today while its storming away here on the island. I hope this weather clears up so that we CAN leave Sunday. I keep forgetting that we have one more before we leave since today is a holiday here and it feels like it's Saturday.
