A virgin no more
A very belated hello to everyone! I've been home since 9/24, but in body only. My spirit and mind are still in Africa. I wake up thinking about it, daydream all day about it and fall asleep thinking about it.
This was the trip I'd waited for my entire life...the perfect set up for disappointment. Yet, Tanzania exceeded anything I'd ever imagined. I can't remember the last time I felt so at peace and everything seemed so "right."
I'm having great difficulty writing a trip report probably because it's still too close to me, too personal. And photos!! I only took 1,397. What was I thinking?
I want very much to share my trip with you all. It's the least I can do for sharing so much with me prior to my departure. I just need more time, ask for your patience and hope it won't look too weird if my post - for a September safari - pops up in December. (Kudos to those who get it together so quickly. I guess I could use a few lessons in self discipline...)
later, anita

I, for one, am looking forward to a report, even if its a very brief one. This is a selfish request, because I'm trying to put together a trip for myself (in February --is it possible??) and am just beginning to slog through all the information and figure out what I want, what is within my reach, what I have to let go of, etc, etc, etc. I'd love to at least hear what you loved the most, and what you wish you'd done differently. Give us anything! And congratulations on what sounds like did turn out to be the trip of a lifetime, despite the odds!
