Happy to see that you have chosen The Astoria...a venerable establishment. In USSR times, we stayed at the Astoria a few times and at the Pribaltskaya once. The former gives one the historical feel of Imperial Russia during those volatile Czardom days. The elegance, though faded, is worth the choice. Well-located, too...If there is still the old folkloric show at the Europa, don't miss it..most colorful and exciting.

KT, What is a "double" bed at the Comfort HOtel--Standard double? Queen? King???

JaneB, sorry I don't remember. I was alone, so I didn't pay much attention to the size. I would have noticed if it was a king, though, so I'd say either a double or a queen. I do recall that it was comfortable, though.
