St. Petersburg Cruise
We will be in St. Petersburg for two days in July on our NCL cruise. There are a ton of tours (many rather expensive) and I wondered if anyone could point us in the direction of the best tours to take. I am aware that it is cheaper if you go with a tour compnay other than the ship's but at this point I do not feel comfortable doing that (maybe next time!!). Anybody been there/done that who could tell us which tours are the best?? Thanks

In any case - either you take private tour or group one provided by the Cruise company don't miss the following:
Hermitage, city overview with visit of the Savior-on-the-Spilled Blood Church
Peterhof (park and Grand Palace) or Catherine' palace with Amber Room.
These things are 'the must'. Everything extra will be good)))
Enjoy your trip!

We took the Baltics cruise on Princess LInes two years ago. St. Petersburg was one of the highlights. We took a two day tour that included Peterhof and the Hermitage. One thing others seemed to rave about, and we wish we went on, was the tour to Catherine's Palace. It's tough to do the two-day tour AND Catherine's Palace, but it can be done if you have the stamina. Otherwise, you might consider a briefer tour and a second tour of Catherine's Palace instead.
