St.Germain en Laye or Chatou or area...HOTEL HELP!

Bonjour tout le monde,

My friend lives in Chatou and we need a hotel around there (within 10 kms). She JUST moved there and does not know the area real well yet, so I thought maybe some of you would be familiar with it.
We have a hotel booked in Paris, but now my 8 year old daughter is going to stay with my friend. I want to be closer to them now, just in case of any probs

I can't really find any hotels for this area....
Any first hand experience would be wonderful to hear!

That website doesn't list any hotels actually IN Chatou. Nor can I find any hotel or B&B in Chatou in any of my gazillion guidebooks or on the web.

There are quite a few, though, within 10kms. That site does, I think, list at least one in Reuil-Malmaison, which I think would be the closest.

If you're going to be in Chatou, you must have lunch or dinner at La Maison Fournaise and visit the Impressionist museum there.

In my Châteaux & Hôtels de France book, there's one listing in St-Germain-en-Laye/Orgeval - a lavish-looking place called the Moulin d'Orgeval. You can check it out at www.chateauxhotels.com/orgeval

This large three star is located between the Seine and the Chatou bridge.
Good luck.

I picked up a brochure for a beautiful hotel in St-Germain -en-laye on our last trip, Le Pavillion Henri IV. It sits behind the chateau and has the same view of Paris as the belvedere of the chateau. Sorry , no prices are listed!

The Novotel Paris Rueil Malmaison hotel is located in Rueil sur Seine city , between the banks of the Seine river, the Chatou bridge and the RER railway station.
