Are there any places to stay with a short (30 minute bike ride/ 10 minute taxi) distance to the St Andrews golf course?

Surprising my golfer with a day trip to there!
Want to stay the night before going to London.

There are lots of places to stay in/around St Andrews. Anyplace in the town would be w/i a 10 minute bike ride. (or a 15-20 minute walk). What is your budget?

Around 100 euros a night would be nice! But not strictly. We will not have a car so will need easy access to and from hotel/train stations/at andrews!

That's around £85 then (you know we don't use the Euro in the UK?)

You probably know this but there is no train station in St Andrews. The nearest train is at Leuchars about 6 or7 miles away. You either take a local bus or a cab to St Andrews.
