Spring Air Fares

I had previously bought and/or used FF miles for granddaughter and her husband for April. I was holding off for my ticket to see if fares in April might drop a bit. I almost went ahead yesterday with them...but...did not. Checked this morning and they had gone up $40. I went ahead a got them. With the oil prices going up, it might be just as well.

When to purchase is always a guessing game..sometimes you win and sometimes you lose!

I also have an apartment rented for a month beginning Sept. 10th. I am beginning to think that it might be wise to get those tickets now, too!!

I did go ahead with my September/October reservations. Oil prices will probably only get worse!!

I lost $40 on my April trip by waiting(per above), but I saved $30 by calling Air France and purchasing instead of Delta. They are all Delta or Delta codeshare flights....Air France just sells them for less!! Still will get Delta FF points...Delta FF policy is changing so much day by day. Not very good, anymore.

gracejoan, I have come to the realization that I will have to find travel bargains after I get to my destination and not in TRYING to get there

I am paying more for a trip to Paris, BWI to CDG in February than I did this last September. In past years, Jan & Feb should have shown some much lower fares which I was counting on but I never saw it happen this year.
