Splurge meal in Madrid on a Saturday night

Hi, where would you go have a special meal in Madrid on a Saturday night? I've started researching my options. This will be for next Saturday, so it's rather short notice. I don't know what's still available.

Terraza del Casino looks good. And Maribel's guide praises this highly. What about Zalacain? I don't seem to see this listed much anywhere. Is this no longer worth its three (?) Michelin stars?

Where would you go?

Thanks.

By the way, if you can, please include a rough estimate of cost per person. Thanks!

Here's a list that I found:

I've also looked at the (some?) listings on NYT.

ttt - trying again.

Did look up Zalacain in the latest Michelin guide. It now only has one star. I guess it's been around too long.

I go to Zalacain every time I'm in Madrid (parents took me there as a teen and still have fond memories, and the staff treats me like a queen!). Figure about $150-200 pp with good wine (let them pick it for you if you're not familiar with Spanish vintages) for a meal that would cost about $250 in New York. Other top Madrid restaurants will be in the same range.

No matter where you go, make your reservations TODAY.

Thanks. Decisions, decisions.... I'll try to call early evening here -- so late evening there. Wonder if any of these restaurants is even still available on a week's notice....

Thoughts on other possibilities?

Just booked Saturday night at Terraza. Surprisingly easy and I booked for 10:30. I conversed completely in English. Jacket and tie (strongly?) recommended (I asked). I'll need to reconfirm next week.

But, in the meantime, let me know if there're other (better?) suggestions.

Thanks!
