Spain with Little ones: Please help

Hola!
We are travelling to Spain June 23rd to July 3rd.
3 Days Barcelona
3 Days Seville
4 Days Andalusia (30 mins from Malaga)

We are travelling with a very curious eager to learn 3 and half girl and and super active jumpy 9 month baby boy. Our daughter is so excited that she even started taking Spanish lessons at school.

Please suggest things to see and do. Would really appreciate it.

We have our hotels worked out for Seville and Andalusia. But not for Barcelona. If you have suggestions for that- that would be great too.

Gracias....

You need to check booking.com for something available in your price range (?). Barcelona is very busy at this time of the year.

The weather in Sevilla is already pushing the upper 30ºs this week and will be nearly 40º by the end of the month, so be prepared for a very warm welcome to Andalucia.

You are going to have to be very careful with the baby especially about the heat and sun. It is going to be brutal.

I really liked the HOtel Jazz in Barcelona and they do have a family suite room which might suit you. It is an excellent location not far from placa Catalunya.

I'm sure your plans are probably locked in by now but, having traveled in Spain with little ones, you should consider the strain moving so frequently will have on the whole family. With your schedule you will barely get the kids settled in a new place when it it's time to pack up the whole circus and spend a day lugging babies and herding little one to yet another new place. They will get cranky in the heat (and so will you), so be prepared to spend a lot of time in a new town not seeing the tourist sites, but cooling the kids down in a park.

One thing you will have going in your favor, IME, is that the Spanish are simply bonkers over little ones; always willing to compliment, coo, and to help.

Spain is such a great place - I hope your kids enjoy it! I went solo a few years back (totally different trip than yours!) but I loved walking tours because I got to see and learn so much. It'll definitely be hot in June and July so stay cool in the shade and stay hydrated.

Here's a trip report with my itinerary, photos, and recommendations for my trip to San Sebastian, Barcelona, Granada, and Seville.

Enjoy trip planning!

Thank you so much for your concern about the heat.
We have taken that into account- unfortunately we can not change our dates as we are meeting family who are travelling from all over the world.
But for the sake of our kids we are only going to try and do one touristy activity/visit a day. And the rest of the time enjoy being at restaurants or parks and just taking in the sights and sounds.
And hence- would like to know the must see/must do's considering we will only get to 3 or 4 per city/area.

So more suggestions please.

"And the rest of the time enjoy being at restaurants or parks and just taking in the sights"

In Andaluc ia , midday is usually very quiet... Some stores and restaurants are oclosed , people stay away from the scorching sun.
You would do well to book hotels with a pool.

Here are some ideas for things to do with kids in the wonderful and diverse Málaga region. Sounds like your three ear old are up for anything, although kayaking might be a bit to early ;-) : https://www.spain-holiday.com/Malaga...-with-children

Small Nerja by the Med, some 30 mins from Málaga city, is a paradise for kids: http://www.nerjatoday.com/

The Nerja caves: http://cuevadenerja.es/en/

Top class and free flamenco concert in Nerja on the huge Plaza de España on the night of July 1. Paco Montalvo on violin and dance: https://www.pacomontalvo.org/violin-flamenco/
Part of the annual Narja Caves Music festival: http://cuevadenerja.es/en/internatio...sic-and-dance/

The Axarquía region with Nerja etc just east of Málaga city: http://www.rusticblue.com/andalucia_...a_axarquia.php
