Spain April 2025 holy week itinerary
Is this too much during holy week? Unable to decide which one to skip between Seville and Granada. If Seville can be done early in the week after we reach Madrid and head out to Seville. This plan leaves less time in Madrid.
..
Day 1, 13 Apr Sun : Reach Madrid, depart Madrid -Seville train , stay in Seville overnight
Day 2 14 Apr Mon : Seville
Day 3 15 Apr Tues: Seville- Granada train
Day 4 16 Apr Wed: Granada
Day 5 17 Apr Thurs: Granada- Madrid train, rest sightseeing in Madrid
Day 6 18 Apr Fri: Day trip from Madrid to Toledo
Day 7 19 Apr Sat: Day trip from Madrid to Segovia
Day 8 20 Apr Sun: Madrid
Day 9 fly
Eager to hear your feedback. Thanks

Must you fly into and out of Madrid? Flying into Sevilla and out of Madrid would simplify your trip.
You aren't planning much time for Sevilla (3 full days would not be unreasonable IMO), nor are you leaving much time for Madrid itself.

Trying to figure out possibilities given the time constraints due to Spring break.
I agree Madrid will be easy to get to for future trips.
We have 8 full days.
I thought Toledo and Segovia were typically day trips.
Could perhaps skip those for Granada, Seville and Cordoba as you suggested. I was told Seville could get expensive due to Easter week processions and such.
Not sure what to prioritize.

The issue is that you have limited time and too many destinations. I wouldn't do both Segovia and Toledo in the short time you have in Madrid. Choose one or the other. Both destinations can be done as day trips but they are long day trips depending on what you want to see. Just last summer my daughter and her boyfriend did a day trip to Toledo on a Sunday, getting up for an early train and heading back to Madrid in the evening. To do that and get up the next day and do a similar train trip heading north makes so sense to me. It's your trip of course and given that all of these are worthy destinations, decide what is most important to you. If it is the Alhambra, go to Granada. If you don't plan to spend much time touring Madrid, you can give up Segovia perhaps and have more time somewhere else.

I would drop one city. For me, it would be Granada. Which isn't on the same train line anyway. You have to decide what is the most important to you. I'd just do Seville then Madrid. One day trip, I'd pick Toledo over Segovia.

Really, none of us can tell you how to prioritize. IMO, you need to research what you want to see and experience in these places and then figure out how much time it will take in light of YOUR interests.
Good luck!
