Spain and Portugal for honeymoon
We are considering going to Spain and Portugal for our honeymoon in mid-April. Is the weather warm? Any recommendations for our itinerary? We wanted to just a few days in a city and the rest in the countryside or resort town on the water.

April is a changing month therefore difficult to answer.
The south will be warm to sunbath but can be rainy, certanly not swiming time unless in heated pool.
Weather will be comfortable for city visits. If you want a resort then check if they have heated swiming pool.
It does not need to be indoors.

We have ben in southern Spain in late April twice and in both cases it was warm to hot (70's to upper 80s' during the day) the hotel pools were open and you could certainly swim in the sea (which seemed very warm to me - but I'm used to the North Atlantic).
In that area are 3 of Spain's greatest cities: Seville, Cordoba and Granada - as well as a series of adorable "white towns" - so plenty for touring as well as relaxing.
Madrid at tht time of year can be almost any weather at all - 40 to 90.

We were thinking Marbella, Ronda, Sevilla. If we are going for 10 days is four days too long in Sevilla?
How long of a trip is it to the islands? I assume they are warmer and might be a good place to go for a few days after Marbella.

First of all, congrats on the wedding! I think thar your itinerary sounds great, but I hope you all rent a car and explore villages in the area (Ronda is beautiful, and you have it there, but check out Estepa and just drive around the hills and mountains). I would include a day trip to Córdoba from Sevilla if you have 4 days.
Getting to the Algarves is a matter of getting to a port (someone tell me which port takes you there. . .) and taking a boat. They would be a nice contrast to Marbella, indeed.
