South of Europe in Early May
Hi all,
I've narrowed down my early May trip to visiting Barcelona, Lisbon, and Marrakesh. I have 12 days to visit these 3 cities. Can you provide me with suggestions on transportation/ what route would be the best to take. And any tips on places to visit and even nearby cities for day excursion. First time visiting all 3 !
Really appreciate your help!

That time of year it can make sense to move south to north for best weather, though, of course, it's theoretical.
Fly into Casablanca, or Marrakech, depending on where you'll be coming from.
Direct flights Marrakech to Lisbon on Veuling, BA, Air France & TAP.
Direct flights Lisbon to Barcelona on Veuling, Iberia, TAP and others.
Onward or home from Barcelona.

Spelling is Vueling - budget airline based in BCN
Do the twelve days include the days of flying there and back? The arrival day doesn't count for much - you won't have distinct memories because of the time difference and the lack of sleep.
Remember, it takes four nights in a place to have three days in that place. With time allowed for relocation, that itinerary gives you less than 3 days per city.
We were just in Lisbon for 8 days and did not get to see everything we wished to see. Seems a shame to blow in and blow out again so soon.
Three cultures and languages in so few days - you'll do none of them justice, barely scratching the surface.
I suggest cutting back to Marrakesh and Lisbon, for deeper memories and a more meaningful trip.

You don't have 12 days, as you're going to lose 3 to travel between places. That leaves you 9, assuming you don't have open-jaw air tickets, which is not enough to do justice to any of those places.

Back to the 3 city/9 full days itinerary. I don't think it's too bad, certainly better than many we see around here. The day trips may fall by the wayside but, who knows, it might be fine. My optimist's motto, "could be worse".
