SORRENTO

Has anyone ever stayed at the SORRENTO PALACE HOTEL? If so, did you like the hotel? How is Sorrento? Any restaurant recommendations? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I put Sorrento Palace Hotel in the search "box" at the top of the forum page and it came up with too many responses to cut and paste for you. Check it out and I think you'll find the info you want.

We ate at the Lantern(English translation) and we loved it. We sent 4 friends and they all enjoyed it and one couple went there twice. We ate at the old location in the winding streets of the town, but there is now a second location near the water.

Hi Sherry. We were in Sorrento for only one night (unfortunately) a few months ago, but we loved it! We stayed right in the heart of the old town, and had a great meal at the Sorrento Inn.

Later that evening, we talked to a woman from New York who owns a photo gallery in Sorrento, the Grace Gallery. Her daughter was visiting and she said they were going to a nice place for dinner. As we were walking around that evening we noticed them in the same restaurant, the Sorrento Inn.

P.S. I'd recommend a visit to her gallery; she takes gorgeous photos! (see http://www.gracegallery.it/)

Just wondering, has anyone been to any of the local art galleries in Sorrento?
I bought some art by local artists there years ago, I think the owners had the last name of Russo. Great places.
