I like to wear a stained v-neck tee that I call my Cy Twombly tee.

La Cadutta di Imperione.

My BIL graduated from Harvard and he does wear a Harvard tee around the house. I don't think he would go anywhere in public in it, though.

There is a small "official" boutique shop right next to the Sorbonne....they sell a few items. The tee shirts are very nice and the logo is small and tasteful......navy blue shirt with gold logo at the shoulder area.

My husband has studied at Harvard recenty and has a Harvard t-shirt he wears to bed. He tells me the most exciting part of the purchase was getting a student discount at the age of 59!

We stayed near the Sorbonne a few years ago and the students we saw were far too cool to wear those sorts of t-shirts.

I sometimes see Cambridge University students wear t-shirts or sweatshirts with their rowing club or rugby club name on them. But you can buy University of Cambridge stuff in several shops around the city or on the market square. They seem popular mainly with the tourists.

I bought a Sorbonne sweatshirt years ago when I was studying at the Sorbonne. There were very few available at the time, I found it way at the back of a store near Notre Dame.

I didn't wear it in Paris; I did wear it on week-ends after I got back to Philadelphia. I still have it although I don't wear it anymore. And I was surprised when I looked at the label to see it really was made in France, not China.

"However, students dont wear them and don't really refer to their university as La Sorbonne but rather Paris I, II or III."

I agree about the numbers, but my certifcate says Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV)

Are there also V, VI, VII, etc.?

I have an Oxford University hoodie, and several Exeter University polo shirts. However, I attended both of these institutions! I cannot understand for the life of me why people would want to wear a shirt relating to an institution that they have absolutely no affiliation with...
