Hello, Guiseppina, I am not sure I understand your question.
Are you an Italian woman living at this time in the USA and looking for products from Italy that you miss having. And if so, where in the USA are you living in?
Or are you coming to the USA to stay with friends or family members and are you asking about what to bring from Italy as a hostess present?

<< why has this been flagged as a travel report? >>
Haven't you noticed that lots of people flag their questions as trip reports? It's a pain in the bottom when you think you're gonna read a trip report and the thread is simply a question. A note to the editors will remove the flag (which I will do now).

Giuseppina, There are quite a few online stores in the US that sell Italian food products. In the large cities, there are stores that sell Italian products. A major Italian/American group is opening a 7000 square yard store on Fifth Avenue in NYC this summer.
Before you go ahead with your idea, check very carefully what the competition is like in your area. Also what the interest is like in your area.

I agree with zerlina. Unless you have some truly novel products, a gazillion people have already done this. There is a store called The Italian Store not far from where I live where I can buy just about every Italian food products I would ever want. There are stores nearby that sell Italian pottery and cookware. I don't have to go more than 20 minutes from my house to get anything I might want from Italy. And then there are the online stores. Years ago, I imported Italian tiles and Christmas ornaments from a few artisans in Italy and did well selling them, but that was before the internet; I would imagine there is hardly anything from Italy that's not pretty easily available these days.
