Before anyone falls for that tourist brochure representation of Poland, you would be advised to check the air quality index for Polish cities, especially in the south.
The heating season is about to get going full force, and unless you enjoy breathing chemical compounds that haven't even been named and shorten your lifespan by years, stay away.
The local doctors are forecasting a health catastrophe for this winter season.

wow, thanks! I really like Poland and going here very often. Really fascinating views here in the Tatras, here you can go skiing and enjoy nature! And I also recommend going to Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot - these are three cities that are located on the Baltic Sea coast - there is a very beautiful nature here and in summer there is a great resort

It is true they use a lot of coal in Poland and sometimes the air is so polluted they have to close schools. They burn a lot of waste coal also which is even worse. They also burn garbage. It is the dirtiest air in Europe. In some years, they overtake Beijing and New Delhi as the worst in the world. The govt is pro-coal and a govt minister actually had the nerve to say publicly that coal pollution does not cause premature death. Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice can get really bad.
