does anyone know how to purchase soccer ticket for games in italy in april or may. I havent been able to even find a schedule. we will be in venice rome florence and the kids would love to see a professional game thanks

I would think that would be a fun event for all of you. Where I lived before we got an Italian TV Station on cable on Sundays and while my DH watched the 49er's play I would watch Italian soccer games. It was fun! And I am not a sports fan. BTW, bet our hotel could help you with this.

You could catch a match 5/1 in Rome, Roma v Brescia.

You could also catch Fiorentina play AC Milan (my team on 5/1.

There's a Lazio-Roma match on 5/15 but I wouldn'nt suggest you go to that.

There are many ticket brokers/sellers, here's one: http://www.listicket.it/eng/index.php?S=&lang=EN Just do a google serach on 'serie a tickets', should give you plenty to choose from.

JJBhoy, that link gets you 2004 info -- and Googling "Football in Italy 2005" doesn't get you particularly useful hits. Any other suggestions?

Sorry, but as I said in my last posting, it doesn't look as though the website I mentioned has been updated since season 2003/04.

To answer your other questions, the team named first will always be the
home team so, for example, Roma v Milan will be played in Rome.

The timing of fixtures is difficult to ascertain in advance because the games are usually spread over the Saturday & Sunday, presumably to suit the TV companies. To use this weekend as an example, two games in Serie A (the "top" division) were played today, Saturday, whilst the remaining games will be played tomorrow, Sunday. It's also possible that the big game tomorrow will be played at night whilst the others will be played in the afternoon.

To sum up, most of the games will be played on a Sunday afternoon, but you would have to check, maybe a few weks before your trip, to find out if the particular game you want to see has been rearranged to a different time.

Hi 4bams, sorry, but I need to make a revision on my posting. Apparently the site does not have info. on buying advance tickets. I understand it's a little tricky to buy certain tickets such as advance tickets.

Therefore, for knowing which games that will be played during your period in Italy, go to www.lega-calcio.it. Afterwards, please contact my friend at [email protected] and he will give you advice about how to get tickets. For most of the games in Italy you'll be able to buy tickets at the stadium on matchdays.
