I came up with my screen name based on where I live because when I tried to use my given name it had already been used. So, since I live on the South Carolina coast (the Low Country as we call it around here) and on an island, LowCountryIslander just kind of made sense!

My initials + my year of birth. Mostly to make it easier for me to remember. Not very creative, but it gets the job done.

I work. I wander. Can't do the second without the first. Sigh...

I'm a big Denver Broncos fan, and I made mine up when "Jules" was taken everywhere I went on the internet back when Al Gore invented the Internet and John Elway was playing for the Broncos.

Jules4je7= "Jules for John Elway #7"

Easy for me to remember, and not obvious to the casual observer.

I was traveling in Vietnam in 1998 and decided to open a yahoo account. I tried to get something traditional, but michael was taken, and I didn't want to use my last name, so I looked at a window and picked a Vietnamese dish (thit cho = dog meat). I didn't think anyone would have that, and I've used it ever since.

When I was a wee baby, my Dad's very first nickname for me was Bird or Birdie, which he combined with my first name, Cheryl, to create CheBird (the Che is pronounced Shay). I've been CheBird ever since to my parents. Still. Even 30+ years later.

Aggiemom, I bet that you are teased quite often about all the funny jokes about Aggies.
As for example; how many Aggies it take to change a light Bulb? Could not resist..

Well, I wanted something kind of quirky, and at the time I had just watched an interesting movie called Deja Vu. It also makes me think of those rare and weird times while traveling when you go somewhere and you feel like you've been there before...even if you haven't...

I spent a while living in Japan. I was shopping in Asakusa at the shrine and in among all the lucky cat souveniers that had one or the other paw in the air, I found one with both paws in the air and a look of complete bliss on its face. It was the only one like it so I bought it.

My real name starts with Kat and so I've been luckykat online even since.

My first trip to Paris--Liked it.
Second trip to Paris -- Indifferenct.
Third trip to Paris-- Hated it.
Fourth trip to Paris-- Was ok.
Fifth trip to Paris-- Indifferent.

When my travel companion would call and say Paris? My response was sure why not.

Somewhere, somehow, and I can't recall when...he (Paris)with that subtle quiet French romantic charm stole my heart without warning.

Now when my travel companion calls and I hear the word Paris. I respond NOW!

My boyfriend brought me some mimosa, a flower that I never smelled before. Someone here had the name but later dropped it so now it's mine.

Actually, I didn't. My sister, the computer guru Maryfran, chose it for me when she was setting up an account for me on Yahoo. My ISP is a local, cheap and kind of cheesy service that I don't always seem able to access in Europe. Now I use it for some of my accounts, including this one.

My first post was to ask about how to get a discount/refund from a totally disgusting hotel! Can you guess the appearance of the bathroom?
