I'm a cat person and my best friend's pet name for me is Kitty. When I first registered on the internet, Kitty was taken, so I used Pakitty since I'm from Pennsylvania. But since then I've wondered if the Pa part connotes "Dad" to others, which I'm definitely not. My real name is taken by someone with similar travel interests, and when people respond to her by name, it takes me a second or two to realize that's not me.

I love Tess_Durberville ' s name-wish I'd thought of it because I too am a Hardy traveler (several pilgrimages under my belt to Dorset as a start),<BR>But I always use 'emjoy' because it's a combination of my first name 'Emily', and my middle name 'Joy' and it of course looks like 'enjoy' with a twist.

Already posted message to Johnmango's 'Palazzo' thread, however will repeat here. Emjoy, I had no idea there were 'hardy travellers' as in fans of the author. I was just being punny ~ a &quot;hardy&quot; or &quot;hearty&quot; traveller.

Off topic: Tess_Durberville: <BR>Thanks for the reply. There really are Hardy travelers. I was in a bookstore in Bath and happened to be looking at a Jude the Obscure first edition. I told the clerk I was on a Hardy pilgrimage and he snickered and said 'well I'll tell you what I tell everyone else on pilgrimage, I think when you get to Dorset, you'll find he's quite dead.'<BR>

My age in Italian. My heritage on my mom's side is all Italian. And went to Italy in 2001 and loved everything about it.<BR>

My story seems boring compared to some of these. I picked my name because I absolutely love Gone With The Wind--both the book and the movie. Thought about Dorothy since I also love Wizard of Oz and I'm from Kansas, but decided I had enough of being called that back in college.

Operaman:<BR><BR>If you even find this reply to your post.....others here think they are reading about screen names... and now what is this about restaurants?<BR><BR>So, maybe we should take this chatter about restaurants elsewhere. You can e-mail me at: [email protected] and then you can tell me why you are a liberal and I will tell you why I am a Conservative. Also, would like to hear about your singing.

I've been posting on Fodor's for 4 years now, under [email protected] (which is equally as clever as the one I've chosen above). At least it's a bit more descriptive.

My name is Mel - I'm an American expat living in Kuwait (until being evacuated recently for obvious reasons). So, Melnq8.

I used to be either Miche67 or Miche1967 here, becasue my name is Michelle and I was born in 1967(I used to always forget other screen names, so I made up one that I can easily remember. For some reason my password stopped working and when they gave me a new one that didn't work either. So about a month ago or so I started using SloPugs because I live in San Luis Obispo County, CA, and I show and breed Pug dogs. Currently I have five of them.
