Snow and museums in 7 days possible?
We are planning to spend 7 days in France this December. Aside from the lovely museums, we would like to visit a place where the children can play with snow, not necessarily ski but some snow boarding. Any suggestions on where we can visit? And is this realistic given we only have 7 days?

People ski and snow board in the same places.
Locals buy produce from markets any place in France. Here's a list of markets by department. Click on the department to get a list of towns and the market days.
Choose your ski town and then check to see what days there are markets.

For instance, if you choose Albertville, you can ski, visit the museum of art and history of Albertville (and various other museums in the area), and go to a market on Thursday or Saturday.

If it's the Christmas holidays, be aware that many ski resorts insist on a week's stay. And unless you are high up in the Alps, you will not be certain of snow.
Perhaps stay in a place nearby, Annecy for instance, and take a day trip to one of the ski resorts?
I don't think it's very practical to do this - you would need snowboarding clothes, rent boards and shoes - it would be expensive, and you don't have a lot of time.

In Paris, go to whatever market is near your hotel. They're all over the city. If it's cold or raining you'll want a covered market.
Here's a list of markets by arrondissement.
