Wear what make you feel comfortable....But use your common sense, you would not want to wear shorts in a church, or in a finest restaurant, right? When I was in Rome this past June, I had the surprise of my life..I never saw so many bare midriffs, shorts, sneakers like this time..Usually even the tourists dress conservatively in Rome, but not this year..Perphas because it was so hot...

Dear dln,
Yes, I'm a full-blown, board-certified, New York City snob, regarding EVERYTHING that provides a quality life experience. I'm not ashamed. After all, it's just my opinion. Take it or leave it.
My mentioning Indiana was purely subjective. Some of my best friends are from Indiana. I simply closed my eye and spun the globe and when my finger landed in the Midwest, Indiana won the prize.
I hail from Ohio and everyone knows the asses are fattest in Ohio. There's absolutely no need to feel defensive or threatened unless, of course, your ass is fat, you wear khaki shorts with white socks and white Adidas and your varicose veins leave no trace of pink skin viewable on your legs and you're staring in awe (mouth wide open) at Michelangelo's "Pieta."
