Weird. Probably not if he hates sports, maybe he'd love it if he loves Green Bay, he might not like that particular colour... Why ask us?!

Are you from Green Bay? If so then this is a perfect gift. Giving a gift from your area always seems to be the most appreciated.

Oh and as a joke you could always get a cheesehead hat. Would be a great ice breaker

Don't listen to people like Jimbo. When we were in Italy we observed that most Italian boys are nuts about sports. Saw lots lof "knock off" NBA and NFL stuff. I'm sure that a boy would love "real" sports clothing like a jersey and cap. Also, skateboarding is very big there amongst pre-teen and older boys. My little guys loves the Italian skateboarding stuff we brought back. Another hot international item is Pokemon cards. My 10 year old went crazy with the two full decks of Italian Pokemon cards he got.

i visited with relatives in italy
this summer and took pittsburgh pirate
t-shirts and caps for the young boys.
they loved them!! but they also loved
the idea that they were black; so, i
think the color had something to do with it. anyway, i think that most
people are appreciative of whatever the
gift, and i think that items from your
area are a nice idea.

What about an American football to go with it? That would make it even more fun for him.

We brought gifts to family in Italy and they loved everying.

The baseball hats and shirts were hits. I'm not sure though if it was because they liked the NY logo or because they like baseball.

Shirts are easy to pack and don't take up much room...that gets my vote for a good gift.

Gifts from your local area are sure to be hits. Have fun.

Besides the t shirts, our friends liked candy-all kinds of different ordinary candy-poprocks , nerds. We also brought them an inexpensive portable CD player, and a couple of rock CD's

EVerywhere I have traveled all over the world - -I always bring "koosh balls" and they love them! Not sure if they have them in Italy - but they are always a big hit and small enough to pack.

Ceena: Can you describe a kooshie? My kids are 11 & 14 - will this be interesting enough for them. I also hear World Cup Soccer shirts might be available. Anyone else know any good ideas?
