Slit Sobe

I have found a lot of info and a few websites for renting a soba in Split but no info for Split. We will be there next month. Does anyone have a great website I can go to to find info on a room rental?

LOL! Oops! Typo! I am referring to Split, Croatia and I am looking for info on accomodations that are similar to the Sobe available in Dubrovnik. Thanks!

You can go to www.croatia.hr, or www.dalmacija.net, in Split there is a hotel called Hotel Park - its a nice, clean hotel, about 120 Euro a night. Their website is www.hotelpark-split.hr

Hope this helps! And have fun! Go see the palace and you'll enjoy the cafes on the waterfront!!!

Why do people reply to a question if they know nothing about the subject?
Split is a city on the Croatian coast, the second-biggest city in the country. "Soba" is Croatian for "(bed)room".
The places of interest to tourists are close together on the waterfront. The ferry terminal, bus station and railway station are adjacent. A broad waterfront, lined with cafés and bars, leads past Diocletian's Palace. Landladies hang around the bus station offering rooms, but these are generally in blocks of flats and may be some distance from the centre. It may be pleasanter to stay on a nearby island, such as Brac, and use the ferries to visit Split.

Verbosity is one of the surest signs of basic insecurity I suppose.

Because some of us have better sense of humor, and they share it with the rest who loves it!

I have been known to post to a thread in order to help the OP, topping that thread.
Some might call it verbose. Some might call it helpful.
eurotraveler did not seem to have a problem with it.

Geoff, I have often wondered about that myself, although the typo was quite funny! One poster in particular seems to spend his time critizing the posts of others without ever offering any good advice so I tend to ignore him. Thank you for the valuable info. So you would suggest Brac over Split?
