Skiathos
Hi! I'm visiting Skiathos in may. Any top tips for accommodation/restaurants/beaches? How's the weather in may. Its my first time in Greece. I'm also hoping to do an overnight or a day trip to Skopelos. Can you recommend accommodation in Skiathos town or do you prefer to stay by the beach? Any favourite restaurants and bars? Thanks!

Skiathos was one of my first trips to Greece, and probably what got me hooked on the country. For May I would stay in Skiathos Town, and take the bus to the beaches. It’s only 30 minutes by bus from one end of the island to the other. Wandering around Skiathos Town in the evenings is lots of fun, but it’s too long since I’ve been there to make restaurant suggestions.
Skopelos is a very easy day trip from Skiathos Town, but if you are open to an overnight you could also visit Alonnisos. The three islands are close together and well served by ferries.
