I think happy slapping is last month's trend. At least it seems to have died out in the media.It was never really a threat either (mainly it was kid-on-kid stuff, akin to the "tango" craze of a few years ago).

Hoodies are banned at Bluewater Shopping centre aka "mall" - a particularly grim circle of hell in Essex.

They are also banned from many pubs and night clubs as they are used to defeat CCTV, along with baseball caps.

They are associated with the "chav" phenomenon, and are therefore not to be encouraged in young people.
