Siena/San Gimignano
We are planning to take a bus from Florence to Siena and spend the morning. Is there a bus that goes from Siena to San Gimgnano? We were thinking of spending the afternoon there, or is that too much to do in one day.
Thanks for your input.

This is definitely doable... we did it in 2001. I don't remember the bus names/numbers/times, and they may have changed anyway, but yes, this is certainly realistic. Our only problem was missing a connection in a town between San G. and Florence on the way home in the evening, and we had to wait around for an hour for the next bus. It was kind of late and there wasn't anything open (and it was kind of cold), so it was a long wait. But just plan better than we did, and you'll have no problems.

I did this trip in 2003 with my daughter, it was wonderful and am now scheduling it for late May with husband. I think the site I used was http://florence.city-discovery.com, I liked their site because it had a secure booking site and I felt safer giving my credit card. Siena was wonderful as was San Gimgnano which I could have spent hours walking around in. Have fun.
