Siena hotel help
I have narrowed it down to Villa Scacciapensieri and Palazzo Ravizza. Just can't decide between the two of them.Palazzo is closer to the city but Villa S. has a pool. Both get good reviews. Any help would be appreciated

Hi,
Villa Scacciapensieri is not a bad choice. They did get a lot of good reviews.
You can also try the following: www.SienaCity.com.

My wife and I stayed at Villa S. in the fall of 2000 and enjoyed it very much. The room we had was fairly large by European standards and was well appointed.
The staff was friendly and helpful as well.
The only drawback was the distance from the historical district. Not too far but, parking can be a problem (like everywhere else in Italy!) Having said that, they are set in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We would reccommend Villa S. but, if we were to stay in Siena again, I would look for something in the city centre.

We stayed in Palazzo Ravizza in 2001 and really enjoyed it. Breakfast in the garden is very nice.
Some friends of ours stayed there in 2005 and some others in 2006 and really liked it alot. Very good food both at breakfast and dinner. Good location and they have parking if you have a car.
