siena baggage storage in Piazza Gramsci?

Does anyone know for certain if bags can be stored during the day (especially Sunday)at Piazza Gramsci as we plan on visiting Siena on a Sunday by bus from San Gimi, and will have our bags with us on our way to Rome?

Also:

(a) how far, approximately, is Piazza Gramsci from the bus station: and

(b) will it be more convenient (and quicker) to take a bus from Siena to Florence in order to take a train to Rome, or should we just go from Siena to Rome?

Hi S,

You can take a bus from Siena P. Gramsci to Rome Tiburtina station.
http://www.senabus.it/

This is easier than the train because the bus has luggage storage under the passenger compartment.

From http://tinyurl.com/kqz3y

"Left luggage At the TRA-IN bus information centre below Piazza Gramsci (daily 7am-7.45pm; L5000/?2.58 per piece for one day only). At the train station, there are self-service lockers on platform 1 (L3000/?1.55 per 6hr)."

Ira - as always, thanks for your information.

Do you have any idea as to the cost of a bus to Rome from Siena?

Hi N,

> any idea as to the cost of a bus to Rome from Siena?

I think that the prices are listed at the Senabus website.
