We will be spending a week in May at a villa just outside of Cefalu. We're looking for day trips around the area. We will have a car and we like wandering around small towns, enjoying cafes and people watching, easy day hikes, shopping at local markets, etc. We're also looking for dining suggestions in Cefalu and the surrounding areas (especially lunch spots as we love long, leisurely lunches).

Re dining - one of our favourite restaurants (Mulinazzo) is an easy drive from Cefalu and great for lunch - here's a link to a long messy file I did a couple of years ago re restaurants in Sicily - also we found driving in Sicily very easy and did many wide ranging day trips from Sciacca - there's a great autostrada that runs north south so you could easily travel to Selinunte for a day trip (well....if you don't mind driving that is) - if you do be sure to have lunch at Vittorios....info in the PDF file below
