shuttle service from Finale Ligure to Milan Malpensa Airport

Since we are 2 adults and a child travelling from Varigotti to Malpensa I thought the 3 bus ann train fares might be the same price as an auto service. Does anyone know a driver in that Finale Ligure area? How much should it cost?

I would expect around 400€ or more. That's a long distance. Transfers between Rome/Florence or Rome/Naples run about 400€.

You are very close, kybourbon. According to http://www.milanotaxi.it/english/risultato_2.asp, the fare would be €374 for a 200+ km ride.

I wouldn't fiddle with a bus. Varigotti is less than 4 miles from Finale Ligure. I would take a taxi to the FL train station and, if budget is a concern, ride in 2nd class to Milan.

Most will charge more as they have to return to their home base.

I assume money is not a concern since the OP is asking about a private driver/taxi.

There is a bus from Genoa to the airport. Don't know if that would really by less hassle. Train to Genoa, bus to Malpensa. One less change I guess.

I saw the Volpi bus Genova-Malpensa, too. But unless I'm not understanding their timetable, the one and only departure from Genova is at 6:00a. Ouch.

There are direct regional trains from Finale Ligure and Spotorno up to Milano Centrale and connecting trains from there to Malpensa airport. The whole journey takes about 4 hrs and costs 27 EUR for an adult, half fare for a child up to 12 years. Count half an hour more if you take the Varigotti - Savona bus (line 40, about every 30 min) and take the train at Savona.
The taxi would be about 1 1/2 hrs faster, for about 250 EUR more than public transport by regional (not IC!) train.
Both solutions are feasible. It's up to you to make a choice!
